Calling all nature lovers!

Bumble Magazine, Issue 3.

The Style

So there's a lot of this kind of magazine coming out now, and this one follows a similar format to a lot out there, but keeping the deisgn elements so simple as it is, I think loses a strong sense of self. I hope it grows in this sense.

The Content

The term 'simple pleasures' come to mind. I felt incredibly relaxed reading Bumble Magazine. It's a quiet celebration of nature, reminding us gently of the things we may have forgotten about over the years, like the rarity of the bob cat and the enginnering mind of the beaver. Not only that though, Bumble helpfully highlights things that might've otherwise have been missed like rewilding campaigns and parliamentay action. Still in its infancy, there is a slight lack of cohesion from the issue and although variety is my favourite thing, it would be nice to feel some more connections.

The Audience

I think it's a cute one for families, if you want to get young people involved in thinking about different aspects of nature, but it's old timey feel which makes it feel special makes me thing, older people would appreciate how time seems to slow down when you're lost in it's pages.

A Final Note

It's a fantastic foundation, which I excitedly look forward to seeing develop.
