Bloom Magazine, Issue 3
Celebrating nature and gardening, Bloom Magazine is a delight for plant lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike!
The Style
This magazine is impeccable and a fine example of how far the craftmanship of independent magazine publishing has come. The reinforced colour schemes throughout the pages brings the pieces together and provides a modern colour pop to feel fresh and dynamic. I'm sure this idea came from the blooming flowers that naturally insert colour into our lives, but that's my specualtion.
Infographic type key codes, section separators, neat borders, considered weighted lines are just a few of the many cafefully considered design features that come together to create a beautifully landscaped publication.
I'm so impressed with this magazine, it's 100% one of my favourites.
The Content
Don't get it twisted - it's not all about flower. It's quality stuff and it's varied. In Issue 3, pictured above, talks about foraging, insects, cyborg botany (yep, I said that), secret spaces, and the meanings behind plant names. It so well put together, my words won't justify it, so I say just go out and buy one.
The Audience
Any outdoor adventurers, wild space seekers, plant whisperers, flower heads, animal lovers, and the green fingered.
A Final Note
I discovered the church of St Dunstan in the East because of this magazine, and for that I am thankful.
